คณะนิติศาสตร์ให้การต้อนรับคณาจารย์จาก Baylor University School of Law สหรัฐอเมริกา ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยี่ยมเยือนและจัดกิจกรรมบรรยายทางวิชาการให้แก่นักศึกษา ณ คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่
เมื่อวันที่ 29 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 คณะนิติศาสตร์ให้การต้อนรับคณาจารย์จาก Baylor University School of Law สหรัฐอเมริกา จำนวน 3 ท่าน ได้แก่ Prof. Brian Serr (Louise L. Morrison Chair of Constitutional Law), Adjunct Prof. Craig Bennett และ Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยี่ยมเยือนและจัดกิจกรรมบรรยายทางวิชาการให้แก่นักศึกษา
การบรรยายจัดขึ้น 2 ช่วง โดยภาคเช้า ณ ห้องประชุมใหญ่คณะนิติศาสตร์ ในหัวข้อ “History and Basis of U.S. Legal Restrictions on a President’s War Powers” บรรยายโดย Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman ซึ่งนำเสนอพัฒนาการทางประวัติศาสตร์และหลักกฎหมายเกี่ยวกับข้อจำกัดในการใช้อำนาจทางทหารของประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา
ช่วงบ่าย จัดการบรรยายออนไลน์ ณ ห้องนิติสโสมร ในหัวข้อ “Comparative U.S. Land Use Regulation and Development Control” โดย Assistant Professor Dr. Kayla Landeros มุ่งอธิบายแนวคิดและกลไกการกำกับดูแลการใช้ที่ดินและการควบคุมการพัฒนาในสหรัฐอเมริกาในเชิงเปรียบเทียบ
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองสถาบันยังได้หารือถึงแนวทางการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในอนาคต อาทิ การแลกเปลี่ยนบุคลากรและนักศึกษา ตลอดจนกิจกรรมทางวิชาการร่วมกัน เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์และความเข้มแข็งทางวิชาการระหว่างสองสถาบันต่อไป
The Faculty of Law recently welcomed three distinguished faculty members from Baylor University School of Law, the United States
On 29th January 2026, The Faculty of Law recently welcome Prof. Brian Serr (Louise L. Morrison Chair of Constitutional Law), Adjunct Prof. Craig Bennett, and Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman. The visit included academic lectures delivered to law students.
The program consisted of two sessions. The morning lecture, held at the Faculty of Law’s main conference room, was titled “History and Basis of U.S. Legal Restrictions on a President’s War Powers.” The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman, who explored the historical development and legal foundations governing limitations on the U.S. President’s war powers.
In the afternoon, an online lecture was conducted at the LAWCMU Juris Room on the topic “Comparative U.S. Land Use Regulation and Development Control,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Kayla Landeros. The lecture focused on the concepts and regulatory mechanisms of land use and development control in the United States from a comparative perspective.
During the visit, the Faculty of Law and Baylor University School of Law also discussed potential avenues for future academic collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint academic activities aimed at strengthening institutional ties and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
