Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University Participates in an International

On 10 November 2025, Asst. Prof. Watis Sotthibandhu, Vice Dean for International Relations, led a group of five law students to meet with the leadership of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Bt. Abdul Ghani Azmi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, IIUM and AIKOL esteemed members, as part of the “Bridging Borders: LAWCMU–LAWIIUM Student Exchange Program (Outbound) 2025” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The program aims to enhance innovative legal education and develop globally minded graduates through practical learning experiences and exposure to international legal contexts. From 9 to 16 November 2025, CMU students joined Malaysian law courses alongside IIUM students to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives.
As part of the visit, Asst. Prof. Watis delivered a special lecture titled “Arbitration in Thailand: Strategic Advantages and Enforceability Risks” to IIUM faculty members and students, reinforcing ongoing academic cooperation between the two institutions.
