LAWCMU co-hosting the 7th National Mediation Competition (Northern Region Round)

On 3–4 February 2026, the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), organized the 7th National Mediation Competition (Northern Regional Round). The event aimed to enhance students’ expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and to select representatives from Northern Thailand to compete at the national level.

The competition focused on strengthening students’ knowledge and practical skills in mediation and commercial negotiation, which play an increasingly important role in the modern justice system. Students from various higher education institutions across Northern Thailand participated, applying legal theory to real-world practice.

The strong participation reflected growing academic interest in commercial dispute resolution in the region. The winning team from this round will advance to the national competition, scheduled for March 2026.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University, would like to express its sincere appreciation to THAC, the distinguished committees, and all stakeholders involved for their valuable cooperation in fostering well-rounded future legal professionals for the benefit of society and the national economy. 🎉
