Doctor's degree

The Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) is an advanced research degree (Type 2.1) designed for students who already hold a Master’s degree. The program emphasizes high-level legal research through a combination of specialized coursework and an original dissertation.

  • Study Duration: This is a 3-year doctoral program. Students must complete all degree requirements within a maximum of 6 academic years from the date of initial registration.
  • Language of Instruction: The program utilizes both Thai and English for teaching and learning activities.
  • Dissertation Language: To support academic flexibility and internationalization, students have the option to write and submit their doctoral dissertation in either Thai or English.

 

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:

  1. Educational Background: Must hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
  2. Language Proficiency: Must meet English language requirements as announced by the CMU Graduate School.
  3. Approved Status: Selection is subject to the discretion of the Graduate Study Committee

Study Schedule: Conducted within regular official hours.
Program Fees: A total of 240,000 THB for the entire program (payable at 40,000 THB per semester).

  • Before graduation, students must publish at least one research paper in an international database (e.g., SCOPUS, JSTOR, SSRN) and present one paper at an international conference.
