Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University Participates in an International Academic Forum on the Law of the Sea in Singapore

Dr. Nawaporn Saeneewong Na Ayudhaya a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, participated in The Regional Roundtable on the Law of the Sea, organized by The Centre for International Law (CIL), National University of Singapore, during 3–4 December 2025, in the Republic of Singapore.

During the roundtable, Dr. Nawaporn took part in academic discussions and exchanges on the topic:
“Legal Implications for Thailand on the Accession to the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction.”

This topic addresses significant issues in international law of the sea, particularly in relation to the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity beyond national jurisdiction.

Participation in this international forum provided valuable opportunities for academic exchange with scholars and experts from various countries, as well as the establishment of academic networks in the fields of international law and the law of the sea. These outcomes contribute to the further development of research, teaching, and academic collaboration in the future.

The Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University remains committed to supporting its academic staff’s engagement in international academic activities, with the aim of strengthening legal scholarship and enhancing its academic standing at the global level.
