The Faculty of Law recently welcomed three distinguished faculty members from Baylor University School of Law, the United States<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 29th<\/sup> January 2026, The Faculty of Law recently welcome Prof. Brian Serr (Louise L. Morrison Chair of Constitutional Law), Adjunct Prof. Craig Bennett, and Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman. The visit included academic lectures delivered to law students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program consisted of two sessions. The morning lecture, held at the Faculty of Law\u2019s main conference room, was titled \u201cHistory and Basis of U.S. Legal Restrictions on a President\u2019s War Powers.\u201d<\/em> The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Dyllan Taxman, who explored the historical development and legal foundations governing limitations on the U.S. President\u2019s war powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, an online lecture was conducted at the LAWCMU Juris Room on the topic \u201cComparative U.S. Land Use Regulation and Development Control,\u201d<\/em> presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Kayla Landeros. The lecture focused on the concepts and regulatory mechanisms of land use and development control in the United States from a comparative perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the Faculty of Law and Baylor University School of Law also discussed potential avenues for future academic collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint academic activities aimed at strengthening institutional ties and academic cooperation between the two institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
