The 3rd Law Conference: Environmental Justice in Transition<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 16, 2024, the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with Environmental Law Centre, University of Victoria, Canada. Vermont Law and Graduate School, (USA), Jigme Sin-gye Wangchuck School of Law, Bhutan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW), successfully hosted the 3rd International Law Conference on the theme “Environmental Justice in Transition.” The event brought together esteemed scholars, legal experts, and practitioners from both domestic and international institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was graced by the opening remarks of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Wisuttisak, Assistant Vice President of Chiang Mai University, who emphasized the significance of applying legal knowledge to address environmental issues sustainably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight of the conference was the keynote speech delivered by Mr.Tara Buakamsri, Director of Greenpeace Thailand, on “Environmental Justice in Transition.” His speech offered insightful perspectives on the evolving landscape of environmental justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, a special panel discussion on “Environmental Legal Clinics: How Would Environmental Legal Clinic Effectively Address Environmental Justice?” featured experts from diverse institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
