The University of New England was awarded a number of Destination Australia Program (DAP) scholarships. The goal of the DAP is to attract both international and domestic students to regional universities and communities. The scholarships provide a $15,000 per annum stipend and are open to HDR, honours, undergrad and coursework masters. Students need to commence in 2020 and be on campus for the length of their degree to be eligible for the scholarship.
The DAP scholarships would be bundled together with other scholarships to provide a generous package (for instance, 15k/year + 28k/year + A$1500-3000 yearly research money + free on-campus accommodation etc) of support that will attract high-quality HDR candidates to our campus.
The first round of scholarships closes on 31 March 2020. These include an RTP round for both domestic and international students and a DAP scholarship round. Links can be found on the above websites.
