The Construction of the Program

Option 1: The 4 Course Option

This option consists of two parts. The first part, the Legal Certificate Program, contains 4 courses on legal subjects which are equal to 10 credits of advanced standing. The 4 courses are taught by Chicago-Kent professors: 2 compulsory + 2 additional courses. The students who successfully complete the Legal Certificate Program with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7 are eligible to apply to the second part of this option. The second part is where the student spends the second semester at CK for the remaining 14 credits. After the completion of the 14 credits at Chicago-Kent the students will be awarded the LL.M. in US International and Transnational Law by Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Option 2: The 2 Course Option

This option also consists of two parts. At the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University, the students will take only 2 preparatory/compulsory non-credit courses taught by Chicago-Kent professors. The students also need to pass the 2 preparatory/ compulsory non-credit courses with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7 in order to be eligible to continue to the study at Chicago-Kent College of Law. The students are eligible to attend 1 full academic year (2 semesters) at CK in order to earn the LL.M. degree.
